Sid Qee for VinylCPH

The Vinyl CPH exhibition is set in motion by a great passion for designer toys - a phenomenon where the established art scene meets urban culture. The aim of the project is to break down boarders between art and graphic design, by letting a selected group of artists give life to 30 blank 20 inch Vinyl toys.
I was invited to take part in Vinyl CPH. I received a blank white Qee. In return I had to come up with a brilliant idea of how to decorate the little fellow. There were no restrictions on which tools to use or materials to apply.
The outcome, dubbed ‘Sid Qee’, is an insight into the crooked mind of the Sid Lee Artisan. Replacing the head of the Vinyl toy with a small TV showing a slightly disturbing video loop.
The exhibition will run at Danish Architecture Center DAC from the 1st of December to the 2nd of February 2009/2010. It will also be showcased and for sale on the website vinylcph.dk all proceeds are donated to Red Cross - so go shop!

Once again I teamed up with my friend stylist Simon Rasmussen to create this fun and colorful invite to I AM’s latest fashion party. Strongly inspired by the legendary Studio Line commercials we played with bold colors and simple geometric shapes.

Re-Cover “Dire Straits”

DJ Broadcast paid homage to the record sleeve by letting 16 of Holland’s top artists ‘re-cover’ their favourite LP album. I was honored to be invited even though I’m not really dutch ; )
I chose to recover one of my favs from my dads LP collection - Dire Straits brilliant debut album from1978.

December 13th Nima K and the boys at I AM held their final extravagant party of 2008 at the prestigious Gallery K in Copenhagen.
As usual we used DK’s finest to produce the exclusive 20 page invite: The beautiful Mia Rossing (Elite Models) showed us what she got, Henrik Bülow behind the camera, Lasse Pedersen doing make-up and as always the one and only Simon “The Diamond” Rasmussen doing the styling - and me on creative direction and design.
