Crash the Super Bowl

Doritos - Crash The Supe Bowl

Doritos has really done some intensive online marketing lately. The Hotel 626 has everybody spooked, and now they return giving you the chance to Crash the Super Bowl, by submitting their own Super Bowl Ad. Both campaigns brilliantly done by Goodby, Silverstein and Partners.

Doritos has supplied components and tools for users - product shots, music, logos, videos and even sound fx. So now it’s up to the public to get creative and claim that number one spot.

The top 5 finalist can claim $25.000 in prize money and the chance to win a whooping $1.000.000 if their ad reaches #1 on USA Todays Ad Meter… well that should do it for the motivation. It’s a chance for everyone to compete with the ad pro’s… already there is over 495 submissions. Impressive.

Doritos also have a lot more going on at A Snack Strong Productions.

Buck NY + LA short films

BUCK NY

Specializing in design-driven creative, Buck’s directors and artists use animation, visual effects and live action to collaborate with clients, from concept to delivery, producing work that is visceral, innovative, and diverse.

Buck has always been one of my favorite motion studios out there. The NY office just created a small short film giving a insight on the people that work there. I really love the color theme and the analog stop motion style. I’m always amazed when agencies or studios can find the time and energy to do such self promotional projects. Also take a look at the LA office short film.

Mick Boogie

Mick Boogie

A little while back my bro introduced me to Mick Boogie and his Mixtapes. Viva La Hova being the latest that sees original beats fused with Coldplay samples all with Jay-Z verses laced on top - it’s definitely recommendable: Download it here.

Tonight I got invited to go see him perform at Bluedog Lounge here in Montréal, so looking forward to that!
