A lot of stuff going on lately. Just returned back from our Montréal office where I spent 2 weeks working on a very exciting pitch. Keeping my fingers x’ed for that one. I’m planning on an entirely new portfolio some time in the near future, but I’m not going to give ya a date ; )

Cut&Paste Amsterdam

Every hour is happy hour here. Amsterdam, after all, rides a high that most cities can only imagine. But forget the red-lit windows, the cannabis cafes, and the sex on sale. This city is home to world-class performances, priceless collections of classical art, up-and-coming fashion ateliers, and some of the most exciting architecture and design in recent memory.
The Cut & Paste Amsterdam event is coming up this thursday. This real-time design battle is sure to be super fun, so everyone in AMS should consider swinging by. I have a couple friends coming down for the event too, so will see ya’ll in the bar!

Biking around Amsterdam, it’s been amazing to see so many original poster designs. With so many creative people working here it’s probaly no surprice. So I started taking iPhone snapshots of the ones I found inspiring… but looks like this dude beat me to that idea! : )

FITC AMS CPH

I just attended the FITC in Amsterdam, and saw some good presentations by the likes of Joshua Davis, and Florian Schmitt of Hi-Res! But also some nice new innovative stuff by the guys behind Papervision 3D.
I got a couple of crappy snapshots in my mobile uploads, which I’m still planning on getting integrated in this blog at one point.
I’m off to Copenhagen early tomorrow to pack down my apartment, party with my friends, and also try to fit in a day of jury work for the Creative Circle Awards, which I’m part of again this year.
Once I return, I can start calling Amsterdam my new home! Hooray!

FITC Amsterdam

If you were lucky enough to attend our FITC Amsterdam 2008, you know what it’s all about. If you missed it, you’re going to want to grab a ticket before they’re all gone. There is no other event quite like it. The combination of unbelievable presenters from around the globe, incredible networking opportunities, and the infamous FITC parties, all with the amazing backdrop of the city of Amsterdam, creates a stage set for the unexpected.
I’m looking forward to the FITC Amsterdam starting on sunday till tuesday! Lot’s of really cool speakers and workshops lined up! If you are planning to attend and want to meet drop me a mail.

As before mentioned, I’m now getting settled in the new Sid Lee Amsterdam office. It’s all very exiting and new. Sorry for the lag of updates on the blog. But things have been quite busy here, so bear with me a little while longer.
