iPhoneography

One of my favourite things about the iPhone, is that you have a small camera with you at all times. Combined with the 3G internet for direct on the fly uploads, it makes for fun and fast photo-blogging. So I’ve been going crazy lately downloading different photo-apps that spice up the rather bad photo quality. Som of my favorites are QuadCamera, CameraBag and PanoLab. Check ‘em out in the App-Store.

In Amsterdam

First week has gone by since I arrived in Amsterdam! I’ve been extremely busy with work at the Sid Lee office, while at the same time apartment searching and getting to know this wonderful city. So far I’m very happy to be here. Fantastic to be back on the same time zone as my family and friends in Copenhagen and also nice to return to a milder climate than in Montréal : )

Hi all. I’m back from a nice long christmas holiday with my girlfriend and family in Sweden, far away from wifi hotspots and even my iPhone was disconnected. Needless to say that it’s been a little quite here on the blog. While I slowly get back to civilization I leave you with these stunning photos from the year coming to an end.

À la Montréal

Things have been quite on the blog regarding my travel escapades. By now most of you have already seen the Adidas House Party spot, and generally I’ve just been really busy here at Sid Lee (Montréal) working on the many exiting new concepts and projects that will extend this lovely campaign in the year to come - of which the first couple of things will launch already in january… will keep you updated here.
Montréal is a lovely city. Coming from Copenhagen and living in New York for some months, this city is definitely a fine blend of european and north american culture that suits me very well. The nightlife in the city is also alive and kicking - despite the city’s size and the cold weather.
People don’t go into hibernation, which I sometimes find is the case in DK during the winter. Speaking of the weather, it gets pretty damn cold here! But across the board I find it more pleasant than the cold, windy and rainy winter weather of Denmark - I mean at least the sun shines sometimes!
I’ve made some great friends through work and also reunited with some old buddies. Everyone has made my stay here easy and comfortable and I’m kinda sad to leave them so soon… Jup that’s right - I’m going back. I’ll be spending the Christmas holidays in Denmark and Sweden for some good ol’ fashioned Jule hygge. Then I’ll be off to Amsterdam in the beginning of january where I’ll help power up the all new Sid Lee office. So if anyone have some good advice on living in Amsterdam (apartments, places to go, people to see) please hit me up.

Montréal & Sid Lee

Time for an update on my whereabouts these days. After a little under 2 months in the snug comfort of home (Copenhagen), working for various clients and spending a great time freelancing for the danish advertising agency WDP, I’m finally back to being an adventurous traveller.
My plan was to head back to NYC where I had a couple of exciting opportunities, but when Sid Lee presented me with the chance to work on Adidas Originals there was no doubt in my mind: I had to go back over the atlantic and join their talented people in Montréal.
So here I am, arrived yesterday and still jet-lacked, but eagerly anticipating the coming challenges in the months to come. I live at the wonderful Sid Lee Loft situated near Petite Italie, it seems like a authentic and nice neighborhood and I’m looking forward to explore it more, as well as practice my française.
Today I’ve been on an extensive tour du Sid Lee, checking out their immense offices, saying hi to all my new colleagues, and last but not least enjoying the food in the Sid Licious Bistro.
So that’s about it for now, I’ll will keep you updated on my escapades here on the blog and post some pictures once I get around to that. Until then you can check out some of my mobile uploads here.

Leaving NYC

I can’t really believe it myself, but 3 months has gone by since I came to New York, and since I started this blog, partly as an excuse for not writing personal mails to my friends and family… sorry. The summer is nearing an end and now it’s time to leave this fantastic city and head back to Copenhagen and fall.
I have made fabulous new friends, worked on some amazing projects, partied long and hard, seen some crazy shit, heard some wicked concerts, done insane shopping, used too much money and generally just had a blast.
The reason for coming here at the first place was to see how I would like living in this fast-paced and hectic city. New York has not succeeded in intimidating me… I will definitely return! And this time settling down for longer. For updates on this… stay tuned to the blog.

Tillykke Mads!

My lil’ bro and his girl came over for a visit in the apple. They just left today after an eventful 8 day stay. Today is also his birthday and I kinda feel bad for him having to spend 14 hours traveling instead of celebrating. So I just wanted to wish him a happy birthday here.
Once I get the time I’ll try and dig through the stacks of photos I’ve snapped over here and post some new ones for ya.
