Montrealagain

A lot of stuff going on lately. Just returned back from our Montréal office where I spent 2 weeks working on a very exciting pitch. Keeping my fingers x’ed for that one. We’re launching a bunch of stuff on adidas Originals at the moment. Check out our youtube channel for latest videos and also the newly relaunched adidas.com/originals.

I’m planning on an entirely new portfolio some time in the near future, but I’m not going to give ya a date ; )

Keep checking back once in a while… and for daily updates remember to check Kriss on  creolbrothers.cover.dk

Pinos Playa - Mallorca

Wow… think this might be the longest stretch where I haven’t updated the blog. Just been on vacation for 8 wonderful days at the bay of Cala Santanyi on Mallorca - no tweeting, spacebooking or blogging at all! - Pure health! Got to take my new camera for a test run,  check out photos from my trip here.

Will get back to blogging here soon; also have a bunch of new work to post in the portfolio section - so stay tuned and in the meantime check out the Créol Brothers blog (you can google translate if you don’t understand danish) or my Twitter.

Back from Cannes

Cannes Lions 2009 Winners

Saturday this years Cannes Lions came to an end with a grande party on the Croisette after the final Film, Integrated and Titanium Award show. Now I’m back in Amsterdam after a nice long weekend down south with a hella lot of inspiration, sun and partying. Special shoutout to my big bro for an awesome 2 Micheling star dining experience.

It was nice to see non-traditional campaigns win big in almost all categories. With Phillips Carousel swooping the Film Lion Grand Prix (a film made for the web), The Best Job In The World winning Grand Prix in both Press and Cyber, and Whopper Sacrifice, The Great Schleb, and Oasis Dig Out Your Soul all winning Titanium Lions.

But the big winner this year was without a doubt the Obama for America Campaign, winning Grand Prix in both Titanium and Integrated… and who can argue with that (apart from the Republicans)?

Unfortnately it only came to a shortlisting for the adidas Originals campaign, but on the bright side Sid Lee won a Silver Lion for our branding. Gratz to my friends who worked on that!

I can’t find my card-reader… so no photo’s from the sunny riviera right now. But there’s always a little to see on my Twitpic or Facebook Uploads.

Almost forgot… if you have time I recommend watching the New Director’s Showcase - some good creative stuff there.

OFFF 2009 - Lisboa

As already mentioned I attended OFFF this year in Oeiras (outside Lisboa, Portugal). It was an amazing location to host this Post-Digital Creation Festival. Even though it wasn’t the best event planning by the OFFF people (here I’m referring to lousy bar concept, bad sound setup, smelly toilets, misprinted programs, lack of food, no air-conditioning and so forth), it was the attractive line-up of creative professionals and the amazing atmosphere of the 3500+ attendees that made it an incredible experience.

Mood pics from Lisboa, Oeiras, Cascais and OFFF after the jump.

The blog 3 days in Oeiras has some nice photos from the actual event. CPLUV kept an day by day diary of the events taking place and has made a nice recap post here, also linking to a bunch of videos worth checking out.

SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT

OFFF - SHIIIIIIT

This is shiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Not “shit” but shiiiiiiiiiit. And shiiiiiiiiiit is the OFFF Oeiras 2009 blog. Which means that this is where you’ll find daily updates about what’s going on in the fest: info, pictures and all kinds of gossip. May be we even upload a couple of videos…

I know I know ! It’s been way to quite on the blog lately. I’ve been extremely busy with a very exciting pitch, which I wish I could tell some more about, but unfortunately it’s still confidential.

But shiiiiit! Tomorrow we’re heading to Lisboa for the OFFF conference, which looks really awesome this year! I’m looking forward to re-unite with friends from NYC, Montreal and lots of peeps from back home in Copenhagen. Also the weather forecast looks awesome!

I’ll try and do mobile photo uploads while there, and remember you can follow me on twitter.com/kriss_creol

Posters in Amsterdam

Poster in Amsterdam

Biking around Amsterdam, it’s been amazing to see so many original poster designs. With so many creative people working here it’s probaly no surprice. So I started taking iPhone snapshots of the ones I found inspiring… but looks like this dude beat me to that idea! : )

Check his flickr for an extensive archive of great Amsterdam posters from 2002 til now!

Sid Lee Amsterdam

As before mentioned, I’m now getting settled in the new Sid Lee Amsterdam office. It’s all very exiting and new. Sorry for the lag of updates on the blog. But things have been quite busy here, so bear with me a little while longer. I’ll post updates on the work done for adidas Originals as well as new stuff for I AM during the fashion week (see some pics on my bro’s blog: 7inch.dk/m13).

In the meantime you can do some reading on our new office featured in this months Marketing Mag.

In Amsterdam

In Amsterdam

First week has gone by since I arrived in Amsterdam! I’ve been extremely busy with work at the Sid Lee office, while at the same time apartment searching and getting to know this wonderful city. So far I’m very happy to be here. Fantastic to be back on the same time zone as my family and friends in Copenhagen and also nice to return to a milder climate than in Montréal : )

Take a look at this small panorama I did around the corner from where I stay.
